Target Audience: This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of rheumatologists, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners involved in the care of patients with rheumatoid arthritis.

Learning Objectives: After the completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Understand the motivation for comparative effectiveness research (CER) studies in rheumatoid arthritis
  • Compare and contrast different types of study designs useful for CER
  • Evaluate results from head to head randomized controlled trials of biologics agents
